Works for me on win10 with “courier new”. This is probably an issue of the used font which doesn’t contain asian characters. You can change it under properties->style. Either the global style or individually per language.

If it require less effort, it would be enough to have tab names written in horizontal when selecting “Vertical” layout under “General -> Tab bar” :-)

    Using Google Translate:

Hello good evening, how are you, well I have a text file full of html links, and in those links I have text loose before after each line what I would like to do is to be able to leave only the clean links sorted in each line … how can I do That thanks

To be more clear I will give an example

    Link; index_398_a-b; https: //www.youtube.com/watch? V = Pikt42lyGuk

I want all the text that is behind http to be deleted. In all the lines there is a sign (;)
After the semicolon I want to erase everything backwards.

@Geert-Vancompernolle lol, the “disturbing” part made me laugh. The style change is necessary to fix the active tab’s row being moved to the bottom. I’d suggest testing out these builds (x86, x64) to get an idea of what the next version of Npp with multi-line will look like. Put the binary in your Npp 7.3.3 folder and launch it to test. Don’t download the SciLexer since it doesn’t have a signed certificate.

    @Markus-Kemp109

In the past others have complained specifically about the search flags getting in the way of searches that are conducted without using the Find window (where those flags are easily seen and changed if needed). An example is the Select-and-Find-Next feature–it will use the search flags as previously set, but this may not be what the user wants at that moment. Perhaps @David-Bailey is alluding to that situation, I don’t know.

In general, though, I am used to editors that allow you to set search flag defaults–all new searches that you initiate start out with the flags set that way, and along with specifying your search text you are able to alter the flags for the specific search you are doing at the moment. I like this idea and it would be a great thing to see in Notepad++ but I don’t hold out any hope for ever seeing it. :)

    configurable (remember search flags: yes/no)

I could also get behind this idea. :)

My goodness this works great, thank you. I can’t believe I didn’t find this answer, what a solid feature.

    Thank you Claudia!

Searching this Community forum for the simple text “wrap” yields the following link that answers your question; did you even try searching before posting?

Haha. Nice one. I’m even “plus one’ing it”. I was just answering the question you posed about features. I really don’t have anything to add, just was pointing out how stupid it is to stay on a really old version and miss out on new features (since that old release) due to the so dumb minimize to tray issue. But you have Freedom Of Choice! Don’t worry, I’m out now. :~D

I have absolute no idea how I could miss your post.
Checked even the notifications and still don’t see that you
replied on the original post. Seems there is a race condition if
two reply at nearly the same time.
I agree to what you post.

    Cheers

The drag-n-drop is already fixed in the next version. You can grab an updated binary with the latest not-officially-released changes from AppVeyor (x86, x64). Download the binary and put it into your notepad++ folder and launch it. Don’t download the SciLexer .dll since the certificate isn’t signed on it.
