You can highlight the desired text, right-click, and then choose either to “UPPERCASE” or “lowercase” from the context menu.

But I think it would be enough if just a “complete” background colour option would be in the “Language -> Define your language” to have complete background colour in that custom style.

why not creating your own user defined language?
If it is that similar to ps than you can copy over the keywords and extend it to your need.

I can drag in files now. It was just after I installed the new version and it opened NotePad++ that I could not drag in files. Once I closed NotePad++ and reopened it, it lets me drag in files now.

comment line starting with a ‘c’ in column 1 is only in fixed-form FORTRAN, not in free format Fortran. Are you sure you’re using the correct highlighting scheme?

Note that Notepad++ currently use free format highlighting for files with extension “.f”.
You can add this extension to the “custom extension” of fixed format FORTRAN to change this default behavior.
